Elster is responding to the changes in the market by offering the AB1G meter. The “G” in the nomenclature AB1G signifies a “green” meter. The meter platform will consist of qualified, recent vintage,reconditioned Elster meters from select field locations. The AB1G meter will use a pre-qualified and tested meter chassis consisting of a new rotor and bearing system installed. The AB1G meter will be available as a Class 200, Form 2S, standard clock dial 13 8/9 RR register with either a glass or polycarbonate cover. Elster will offer the same warranty, manufacturing quality controls, calibration standards, and calibration reports that you have always expected from Elster. In addition, Elster will continue to support customer-specific serial numbers in the AB1G meter as it did in the AB1 meter. This Elster-certified meter will contribute to our customer’s efforts in environmental responsibility along with providing a proven and cost-effective solution for residential metering.
