E-MON's unique split-core current sensors allow E-MON meters to be used in virtually any applications. The current sensors allow for easy installation without power interruption. The sensor leads are supplied from the factory at a length of 3 feet. The installer can extend these leads up to 2,000 feet using #14-22 AWG wire (consult local codes for proper sizing).
Monitoring several loads with one meter for cumulative readings (parallel current sensors)
Subtractive monitoring such as monitoring a main panel less a feed to a subpanel (parallel sensors with one set installed in reverse. The meter will subtract the subpanel usage from the main panel)
Monitoring a single circuit or group of circuits in a panel (clamp the sensor around one circuit wire, or a group of wires, for monitoring specific usage of departments, tenants, or machinery)
Temporary monitoring (because of the "clamp-on" style of E-MON's current sensors, the E-MON meter can be installed temporarily to monitor usage and then relocated to monitor a different load)
